Green Paddy Hostel & Villa

Lovely and peaceful place, nice view on the rice’s fields from the swimming pool. Large and confortable dormitories, the 2 bathrooms inside were really convenient.

The location is nice

The room was really smelly, like old sweaty sheets and mold. There was mold on one of the curtains next to the bed and the bedsheets had blood stains/spots. The A/C didn’t work so we had to keep the door open to be able to breathe, but without a mosquito nets that wasn’t any better. (And also explains the blood stains). Next to that my bed had bedbugs, they have a policy in place to prevent it. But it still happens, as a hostel you can’t always help it. But the staff was not willing to listen to me at all, I left the hostel and went somewhere else. But didn’t get my money back, even tough I asked multiple times.

Really nice caring people, welcoming for a solo traveller.

There was a bit of space between each bed so you felt as though you had your own private space. The bed was comfortable and the view from the outdoor area was nice.

The breakfast offered was okay but not great. There was not filtered water available. If you wanted water you had to purchase it. The bathroom looked really nice but the shower wasn't very good. The hot water was a bit hit and miss.

The pool looked nice

The beds were not clean, no air con in the room was boiling hot, staff didn't care and the toilets were inconvenient no space to put anything and stank like mould. One of the beds was put right where the luggage door is so I was unable to access. I ended up leave two night early and had no refund.

Very cool place!!! Staff were super friendly and provided information about the area / things to do and can also organise tours for you. I hired a scooter from them to get around as they’re located about 10 mins from the centre. If you don’t feel confident riding in a lot of traffic… don’t get a scooter!! You can easier requests rides of Gojet or Grabbed as well as order food to the hostel through their apps.

Not a major issue but would have been cool to have 1-2 activists help so guests could mingle and give the place a bit more of a vibe.
