Green Paddy Hostel & Villa

Very nice staff. A lovely pool and location overall. Enjoyed my stay here. Originally booked for 1 night but stayed for 3 in the end because I did some great tours / days out whilst I was there with the use of the Green Paddy Taxi. Manager / their Driver will price match “Grab” and drive you anywhere you like (and for the day). I stayed in the upstairs dorm, beds were standard, nothing special but did the job. Overall it’s pretty decent. Wouldn’t stay for much longer then 3/4 days max.

Breakfast was on the small side. Nice food, cooked fresh. But if you’re planning to go out for the day or generally either way… the portion size is not filling and you’ll have to order in more food from “Grab” or pay 20K for extra portion (GREAT price :) )

I came when there weren't many guests, I got private vibes it was quiet and calm. I spent with best person there with natural vibes (rice fields and the sound of crickets and frogs at night) and of course authentic buildings hostel, definetly one of the best memories in my life. Another fact best free breakfast

I loved my stay at Green Paddy. Ubud was the second stop in my trip in Bali and as a solo traveler in my 30s I was looking for a place that delivered comfort and value as well as a social side to meet people if you wanted. I stayed in a private room with aircon and it had everything you need. The hostel is very chilled and the people I met there were awesome and the staff were amazing. So friendly and welcoming, and they were very happy to help with anything you needed. Gede the owner was happy to organise day trips to waterfalls, suggest itineraries, he even gave us a tour of the water temple - taught us how to pray properly in the purification ceremony and what it all meant (an experience that will stay with me for a long time!). He even gave us a lift to a local eatery one night where he ordered some local dishes for us to try. The hostel is set a little out of town which is actually better IMO as the center is so so noisy and busy with mopeds right into the night. It back onto rice paddy’s which is a much better view than the hustle of the town. It’s a short walk/grab taxi into town no dramas. Can’t speak more highly of this place - beautiful people, beautiful place.
