Quality Inn Alachua - Gainesville Area

The location was good. The pool was nice.

The ice machine has no ice at all. The breakfast variety was disappointing. Traffic was still very loud inside my room. Late night partiers at like midnight were keeping me awake.

The roo was updated

Room needed painting as paint was peeling all over the bathroom. Building looked dated and a little seedy

The beds were very comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and got cold.

Not a fair price for the condition of the property. I was relieved that we got a room that had been “renovated” and did not have carpet, but we could not walk on the room floor without shoes because it was so dirty that it turned even our socks black. The bathroom floor was not even swept between guests as obvious by the hair and dirt. The shower looked clean enough at a glance to attempt a shower but when I closed the curtain, I was greeted by dirt stains over half of the surface of the curtain. There were matching stains on the curtain and on the actual wall of the shower across from it as if someone had a substantial amount of dirt on them and as they washed it off, it splashed onto the adjacent surfaces. As a two star hotel, I did not have high expectations but if they could get a better handle on even the basics, it would make a huge difference.

It was much better than I expected, considering it was under 100.00$ It isnt new but was reasonably clean. Even the parking lot was free of trash. Coffee maker, blowdryer, iron, iron board, microwave, and mini fridge were clean and worked. No bugs. The breakfast area was very clean and well stocked. All of the staff I meet were very helpful and pleasant.
