Genuinely really lovely hotel So much character Beautiful setting Family owned & run by really lovely people Breakfast was excellent Restaurant/Bar on site food was fabulous Highly recommended

Lieu admirable, à deux pas de la plage. Petits déjeuners en basse saison un peu sommaires (peu de choix, biscuits et jus de fruits industriels, peu de fruits et légumes, gobelets en plastique). Mauvaise isolation phonique des chambres situées dans la dépendance

Très bel endroit

Plenty of parking in a roomy parking area. We had to find it ourselves however since no one told us it was there. Very pretty garden and terrace downstairs. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the garden.

Difficult to find and a little off the beaten path. We were just passing through, so it didn't matter that it was not really walkable.

Great small classic Holiday Hotel. Fine continental type breakfast. Very pleasant staff, good parking.

Quiet hotel in beautiful location. The room was lovely and we were glad to have a balcony with a sea view. We much appreciated being able to eat in the hotel on a Sunday night out of season and the food and local wine was very good. Highly recommended !

We had a lovely meal but the ambiance could have been improved with softer lighting and no television in the restaurant.

Superb and luxurious comfort in a clean and well appointed hotel. A welcome night of sprawling rest after a day's travel and a single-bed the night before. In mid October San Menaio is largely closed but Villa Maria, a stately pink mansion tucked away quietly in its luscious green garden surrounded by pines, keeps going to November. It is just 5 minutes walk to a sensational sandy beach, with a crossing over the inevitable railway line right below, so no need to detour for miles as can happen. The beach was empty apart from one fisherman and handful of walkers, and I had a blissful 4pm swim in 24 degree sunshine. Villa Maria also has a VERY good restaurant (the squid was superb, as were the maccheroncini) which rightly attracted many non-residents. Spacious car park, which is a small but appreciable asset, when one is in a big car in Italy. All at a bargain price, which may have been because I was out of season but was the best value in all of Italy so far. And i had breakfast with a fox. A great discovery and highly recommend.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff were super nice, even making us breakfast specially at 6:00am as we had to leave early.
