The Residence Gare

The location on a major street near the train station was very convenient. The room was small but very functional and clean. No air conditioning but a fan was available...late afternoon sun can heat the room so the room darkening curtains need to be pulled. Toiletries provided along with a complete kitchen. We didn't need parking. Cleaning service was friendly. Security doors at entrance. Convenient interaction with owners for access.

Door lock to the room was a bit confusing.

For a few euro more there are much better hotel rooms. There were some items that needed to be fixed which I reported to the contact.

- new modern decorated apartment ( small in size) - walking distance to the old town

- extremely noisy, difficult to get asleep due to the outside traffic late at night including the trams. No soundproofing whatsoever - no air conditioning- a noisy fan -a tiny kitchen, not suitable for any type of cooking - rough area, felt unsafe, especially if a single traveller

The studio was lovely. The kitchen was compact, but had everything you needed (except salt, pepper, oil, coffee and tea). It took me a minute to find the fridge since it’s hidden behind a cabinet door below the countertop. It is very easy to gain entry into the building and apt since it’s done remotely.
