Cayucos Sunset Inn B&B

Loved the location. Easy to park. Very nice room. Bed was very comfy! Staff was amazing. Breakfast choices were delicious.

No elevator to help get luggage to second floor! No microwave in room or access to a microwave to heat anything or make popcorn, etc, after 8 pm when you are usually returning from activities that you were out doing for the day. More comfortable seating on balcony for relaxing & reading! High stools were not good for that.

The staff was super nice. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. You get to choose which breakfast you want, the day before, and when you want it. The breakfast is then ready in the dining room when you go there. The town is 2 blocks long, and the hotel is one block from the edge.

Beautiful rooms with everything I needed, super friendly staff, and excellent breakfast! I loved everything about it!

I seriously cannot think of one thing I did not like about my stay at the sunset Inn.

Was a charge for eggs to be included in breakfast.

Sounds like when you book with third party you don’t get to pick your room.

The Cayucos Sunset has been our favorite getaway for many (20?) years now. And even the loss of Lisa the late amazing creator and owner, it is kept up pretty nicely, and is always peaceful, always impeccably clean, and has delicious food. My only note is in case others read my or other people’s rave reviews for catering to gluten free folks - sadly this is one area that has slipped since COVID. I do still find breakfast very tasty, but have few options, never gf cookies, etc Truly though. If you like funky beach getaway and Carmel is too crowded and spendy, Cayucos and the Cayucos Sunset Inn,

In general, they just have a few less amenities than pre-Covid which is understandable. I was just sad that affected my ability as a celiac to enjoy.
