Pension Strawberry

Can't complain about the property or the lovely staff as we had stayed at the Strawberry in June & we have booked to stay next year as well. The problem myself & several of my friends experienced was with the Agency dealing with the bookings. When we booked in Jan 2022 through Hotels.com we chose to pay at the property & were charged extra for this, but 3 weeks before we were due to travel the money was taken from my credit card, but for some of my friends their rooms were cancelled because of problems with their cards. However, instead of contacting them to give them the opportunity to give details of another card, they just cancelled their rooms. When they tried to rebook the rooms they experienced problems. Eventually, after about 24hrs of trying to rebook, one room could not be booked so I then went onto Hotels.com & managed to get them a room which cost almost £700 which was more than double what they initally booked for. This was absolutely disgusting considering their stay was only for 7 nights & were charged for 14 nights. I notice that the prices for next year are less than £300 for a week. I see that all future bookings can only be booked without the choice of free cancellations, which to be honest is not worth diddly squat when the Agent takes your money any way. Maybe Hotels.com should contact them to find out what they're playing at. Beside all this I would say that the resort Manager Margarita is fabulous & unaware of anything to do with bookings.

We had an excellent stay at Pension Strawberry and Margarita and her staff were fantastic. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Our problem was with the owners, we booked 3 rooms direct with Strawberry in January via credit card and opted to pay on arrival, unfortunately I didn’t realise my card expired in June, in August they tried to take the money from the card, instead of contacting me for new card details they emailed cancelling all 3 rooms, I tried again to book direct but they kept sending cancellation emails, we then booked through hotels. Com which cost double the amount that we booked in January. Grecos Tours I suggest you answer emails

Good location, clean and staff friendly. However, very hard bed with plastic mattress cover. Impossible to sleep well. The water from the taps was often brown. Room was small. The electricity went off numerous times a day. The pool went a murky brown colour after a week. It then turned green and did not return to almost normal for another week. The coffee machine in the bar didn't work. The stereo system in the bar was broken and only had one radio station. Unfortunately, it was a trance techno station which they played way too loud at times. As the average age of clientele was over 50 I felt that was a tad inappropriate. I mentioned this to the staff but they didn't understand. You can only laugh.

The hotel was magical and the staff very very friendly and so good to us.

Extremely clean and quiet complex. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I haven’t a bad word to say. Highly recommended.

I don't like the breakfast was very poor and of no quality the stale bread the eggs frozen and single boiled. in the bath room there was no room to touch your shampoo and generally your facts nor to hold your towel for the money I spent I would find a much better accommodation I would not recommend it to friends and acquaintances.

It was like little cottages. Each with their own porch. Room was modern and very clean but very stark. All white and Grey. no color. No art on the walls. Pool was fabulous. Breakfast just ok. VERY thin walls. Nice place to stay.

We stayed here early August apartments are lovely newly renovated very clean ,fresh furnishings and towels Air con was great and worked very well Pool area is very nice could just do with some cushions for the sun beds as they can become uncomfortable after a while Breakfast was good We would return had a lovely stay here
