GBHost Tien could not have been more helpful. He organised everything for us. Transfers, bus tickets and tours. He even drove us to town at 03:30 for an onward connection! Food was delicious and the guesthouse was quiet and peaceful, overlooking the river.

You need the scuter, but you can rent on the place.
NZPool was clean, staff were friendly and helpful with a range of things including booking buses, transfer to bus stop and laundry and borrowing bikes.
The location isn't walking distance from Phong Nha central (30+ minutes walk). But if you don't mind that or biking it is fine.
