NLLooks even better in real life :) The hosts are super accommodating. We've got a list of recommended places around Calheta to eat/drink and it didn't disappoint at all In general, the accommodation is very cozy, the interior design is top notch and everything on the island is easily reachable with a car.
Nitpicking, but the water pressure from kitchen faucet was very strong as we kept on splashing the water everywhere.
DEGabriel and Jorge, the hosts, can create an atmosphere of being welcome, of being home - not being client XYZ… The suites/apartments have roughly the size of a big hotel room (including a nice bathroom in the rocks), but with a big terrace facing the sea. The mattresses are of good quality so the basis for a good sleep is ensured. The kitchen (which is part of the room) has a single ring (induction) and a microwave - enough to prepare a breakfast, but not a full-fledged dinner. But there are enough nice restaurants in Calheta centre or… one can book a meal prepared by Gabriel, who is not only a great host but also an excellent chef. It was really a wonderful time we had at this place, thanks Gabriel and Jorge!

Location meant a beautiful view, but the walk into town was long and steep, which is where the best restaurants were located.

Wonderful place to stay in a lovely part of Madeira. Jorge and Gabriel are the perfect hosts, so welcoming and pleasant with loads of recommendations and great communication. Rooms are clean with lovely facilities, great pool and the views are heavenly. Good location, less than 5 mins drive to the beach in Calheta. Highly recommended.

NLThe location and the hosts are truly amazing. Jorge and Gabriel are so helpful: they have lots of tips about the surroundings, places to have lunch or dinner and they even helped us when we got stuck with our car. The private dinner they can serve you is very very recommendable!
We needed some extra things like salt & pepper and a lighter but the hosts brought everything we needed the same day 👍
GBA beautiful hotel in peaceful surroundings. The rooms and terraces are lovely spaces to relax, and the hosts are super welcoming and helpful, and even cooked up an amazing dinner for us one night!

GBLes Terrasses is fabulous. It has amazing views and feels really private. Jorge was also a great host and was always available to answer our questions.
The only criticism I had is that it is a little difficult to access - you must have a car and can’t really walk to and from local supermarkets/restaurants etc as it is located up the mountain
