"Nice, friendly hotel 10 mins walk to the main shopping street."

8.0

I asked for a quiet room and it was very quiet which was great. As others have said, it is a bit of a maze and my room was in a separate wing to the lobby area, but I soon found the right stairs to go down, which was key! My room was large and bright and had a table and chairs which was great for writing. I also had a very large window and a fridge which was handy to keep my milk and water cold. The a/c was the ductless kind, high on the wall and very quiet. It also cooled down the room very quickly and kept it just right throughout the night. The shower was wonderful and I didn't have to wait for the water to arrive as someone else said. There is an English language school for children in the hotel. If English is your native language you could pop in to a class and hear first-hand, from the children about their city and the Amur tigers and speak to them about where you are from. They'd love it. Just ask at reception. You could also leave any magazines or books in English that you are finished with, at reception for the school. I did it and the children were really curious about American and Boston, where I live. I stayed a week and would stay there again. The staff were very friendly and could all speak English. I had laundry done one day and they had it back to me the same day, all neatly pressed and on hangers. The location of the hotel is great. It's right off some ponds. From May to October every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday they have a fountain, lights, music show which is wonderful. It was just steps from the hotel. I walked everywhere from the hotel and occasionally took taxis, which are very cheap. if you go out the back way from the hotel, and walk up the street you come to Lenina St. where there are more restaurants, shops, supermarkets and banks. It was all very convenient. The hotel does have older decor, but it was clean, reasonably priced and convenient to everything and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

"Strange Hotel"

6.0

This is a strange hotel and you might need a gps to locate your room, reception or the breakfast hall. Its a maze in there. I suppose this might be due to the fact that it is an old building and architecture back then was 'different'. Anyhow I spent 2 nights here and my room was acceptable, clean and adequately furnished. Bathroom was ok but you'll have to wait awhile for hot water to arrive in your shower. Breakfast is a limited affair and plain.

"Delightful, old-fashioned hotel - quiet and pleasant"

8.0

I stayed here for one night during a business trip. The hotel is very 'old-fashioned' (doormen, porters, etc,, and an older building, probably from the 1930s), but it is a well-kept property and has many delightful attributes - very large rooms (huge!), many salons, wide corridors, quite formal staff (very pleasant people). The hotel is located in a residential area, with lots of parkland around it, for that reason it is a very quiet environment. Breakfast was quite good (but don't wait until the last half-hour that it is being served), and the front desk staff are excellent. It happened to be my birthday on the day I checked in, the receptionist noticed this in my passport and sent up a complimentary bottle of champagne - a very gracious touch. All in all, I quite enjoyed my stay here. This hotel certainly provides a break from the "they all look the same" routine of staying in name-brand hotels. It's like stepping backwards into a time warp, but in a very pleasant way. I would return here if I have to visit Khabarovsk again. Internet is fast and free.

"Strange, hardly can do it again"

4.0

Strange place. Hard to find your room without guidance from staff (lot's of corridors and floor changing). Old keys. Old furniture. Bath is outdated. But shampoo and soap are in tubes, not sachets. Doors are thin, but very few people stays in hotel, so it quiet. Breakfast - average, basic staff is available. Reception is very friendly and helpful, but that is the only advantage in my eyes.

"Not sure stay here again: average service"

6.0

I stayed at the hotel during my business trip to Khabarovsk. The hotel is located at quiet area and closed to the parks with ponds. Breakfast is average with hot and cold dishes. Minus is a lack of fruits. I did not use facilities at the hotel's fitness center, but I think it is not in a good condition. I make this decision on overall condition of the hotel. Rooms are spacious, but furniture is out date. Bathroom has everything you need, but cleaness should be impoved (I found some strains and dirty).
