Amazing Castle Views in Historic Center

I had a great stay at this charming apartment which served as an excellent base camp for my first visit to Lisbon. The property is on the 3rd floor so be prepared for the stairs but you’ll have great views across to the castle area from the living room and attic plus a small balcony to enjoy the sunshine and buzz of the area from too. It has pretty much everything you'd need for a short stay including a Nespresso machine as well as a moka espresso pot for that essential coffee fix. The area has a certain charm with mini markets/shops and a café (Kossie's) very close by but for much wider choice I'd recommend looking slightly further afield. Supermarkets and other shops can be found only a short walk away, downhill to the Martim Moniz area or uphill to lovely Graça where there's a wonderful bakery (Padaria Estrela da Graça) and the best supermarket (Pingo Doce) both of which I highly recommend. Restaurants and cafés can also be found here too as well as a couple of Miradouros (da Graça and da Senhora da Monte) to enjoy the spectacular views of the city. Alfama, Rossio and downtown are also only a short walk away so overall I found this a great place to stay and I enjoyed living like a local for my time there.

The apartment was nice and clean. The location was perfect; it was easy to walk everywhere. If you have a car, public parking is nearby in the main square.

The check-in process could be improved. Although we constantly updated our arrival time the same day to have a smooth check-in, we had to wait more than an hour on the street with our luggage for them to bring us the keys. Upon arrival, we discovered the bed for the third person was not done, and there were no sheets and towels either. We had to wait for the next day to have them.

Excellent location. Great view from the attic!

The apartment was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It felt like an oasis in the middle of the city.

The location, it’s not far from a lot of interesting places. Room was good so is the toilet

No elevator, old style stairs, even without luggage it’s tiring. The location. Bad smell from the apartment in the mext building comes through the windows/balcony Kitchen need cleaning

lovely and clean. good communication with the hosts on arrival. comfortable bed (although only a 135cm). good central location only 5-7 mins walk from Martim Monitz and all transport in old town. near to tram 28 line around castle area. good double glazing and blinds. little balcony. good view. air con in both rooms.

if you struggle with stairs it’s on the top floor! a bit noisy in the street at times at night. (not the property’s fault obviously) but generally good double glazed windows.

It had great initial communication related to check in and management policies

Lack of timelines during the check- in process despite the requested check in timeliness on our end. Lack of instructions about little things like location of extra beddings or operation of certain appliances; lack of cleanliness and mold around windows/ balcony doors; sketchy neighbourhood; lack of parking; when concerns were addressed by our family, the response was to “Google” our way out....
