Hambledon Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at the Hambledon Hotel! The accommodation was extremely clean, wonderfully comfortable and in a fabulous location. The breakfast was delicious and we had plenty to choose from. Bill and Jackie (owners) go above and beyond to make sure every guest/request is looked after. Bill arranged ferry tickets for us at company rates, which was really helpful. They really are phenomenal hosts! We would absolutely recommend the Hambledon Hotel to anyone coming to visit Shanklin, regardless of length of stay. It's a gem of a hotel and the owners are lovely. We felt like we were coming 'home' at the end of each day...Very highly recommended! Thank you so much for having us, Bill and Jackie! We will be back! 💯☺️

Nothing - everything was excellent!

Property was absolutely brilliant, perfectly clean. Bill and Jackie were amazing, the breakfasts were delicious. Fully recommend staying at this B&B if you’re visiting. Local to the beach and amusements.

Breakfasts were excellent with a wide variety of choices. The Hotel was very clean and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possiblle. The location was very good with access to the beach and the old village of Shanklin just a short walk away.

We can't think of anything we didn't like.

The hotel was really well located - walking distance to the town and the beach for a morning swim (Bill & Jackie even supplied beach towels for us!). We were made to feel at home and the breakfast choice was great.

could not fault the hambledon or the owners staff requested twin but double when we arrived that was corrected without any issues thanks for that.

Everything. The location was great, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast selections were very very good. The host Bill was incredibly helpful. At breakfast it was obvious that many guests were repeat visitors, which speaks for itself.

An amazing location, easy to find from the station, virtually 5 min walk in either direction to the beach, highstreet and local amenities and a bus stop for the island cruiser smack bang outside the hotel. Excellent price for the overall stay, facilities, ease, privacy for our holiday escape. Wondeful front garden with gorgeous fish pond, beautifully kept flower fauna and space made available to sit and enjoy the view, the sun and smoke. Lovely welcome and family feel from Bill, Jackie and staff. Great and delicious breakfast service each morning. Cuppa tea on arrival and cute little bar available if desired for evenings.

I hate to moan but hope its constructive feedback for future visits and guests; In the whole time we were there the heating only came on once in our room. The radiator was cranked up to full and yet still cold. Might need looking at. We are a tall couple and so found the shower and bathroom a tad small at times. The window in our room didn't shut fully. Not a problem for us as we enjoyed the air but might be jammed.
