Cactus Inn and Suites

All three motels/hotels in the town are clustered together, all with walkable dining options, all just off Hwy 60. Choice comes down to value and amenities. If you are not working with locality points Cactus Inn offers you a good mid-range value with a folksy appeal. Slightly nested further from the main road, it also offers you a quieter night.

Quiet, clean and they had the room warm for us. You can tell the new owners have done a lot of work, new flooring, fresh paint everywhere, new sink, bathroom fresh, everything clean. If you are looking for 5 star accommodations this isn't the Ritz but it's clean, priced right and easy Hiway access. They still have a ways to go so I encourage the owners to keep up on the improvements. Breakfast is old fashioned continental, don't expect a hot breakfast but the coffee is good. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Put us on 2nd floor, made four old folks who could hardly walk or get up the stairs go to 2nd floor on stairway.

Just what we wanted for a one night stay.

The staff at the hotel was very nice and friendly! There front desk does close down and we arrived after their closing time but they were great to make arrangements for us to get keys to the room. Sadly our room was extremely uncomfortable especially the beds and pillows. The beds were so bad that each couple in beds rolled to the center. Needless to say no one slept well and it was a very restless night. Although the staff was a 10, the room was a 2.

Met our needs perfectly!

It was a good property for those traveling with large dogs. They were accommodating and there was a large, grassy field close to walk the dogs.
