Days Inn by Wyndham Holbrook

Only encountered one staff person--the front desk guy. He was kind and helpful, but the actual room was dirty. He switched us, but the other room had issues too. I suspect maybe this is another instance of a business hiring the bare minimum number of people to keep things running. Or maybe this is a result of Trump's crackdown on immigrants. Hardworking, capable people who do their jobs well are being run off and hotels probably struggle to find good workers. We encountered a lot of dirty rooms on this trip. I'd never experienced that in other travels--even cheap rooms had clean showers.

The first room had a tub that was NOT cleaned. It was fake cleaned--like the towels were arranged as if it had been cleaned, but it had a bunch of hairs in it--disgusting. We told the front desk guy and he apologized and switched our room. The new room had a clean shower, but when we actually used it, it didn't drain. Not sure if my partner messed around with the drain or if it was like that already, but it was partially pulled out and coated with hair and nastiness I tried not to look at. So, not only did we shower in our own dirty shower water that pooled in the tub, but it was also including some of the crud attached to the drain plug. Barf. Also, the sheets looked clean, but they were totally wrinkled. They looked like they'd sat in a dryer too long before being folded--anyway, we hoped that's why they were wrinkled. But even if they were clean, wrinkled sheets aren't really a fantastic hotel experience. You don't expect luxury at a Days Inn, but I thought we could at least count on clean showers and fresh sheets. Even the lobby experience was underwhelming--tweakers in the parking lot, sad, empty bookshelves in the lobby, and an overall feeling of decor being slapped together with zero attention to creating an inviting atmosphere. Lower your expectations if you stay here.

there was no place to let the dogs do their business. the lots on both sides were full of sticker bushes and thorny weeds. There was no elevator, so we had to change our rooms.

Location was good.

Bathroom too small and no elevator available. It is just a 2 floor building but that would be a nice to have.

When we checked in the lady was not friendly.

Clean room with comfortable bed. My only complaint was having to listen to my neighbor blast the TV most of the night

We enjoyed our stay here, the service was great and the room was clean.

The room was clean,comfortable and quiet.

Very clean place. Bed was very comfortable and staff was very nice and friendly.

Bathroom had chipping paint. Room was not noise proof. Could hear tv and voices in next room.

Well maintained and spacious.
