Graça Amazing River Views

Overall, the property was a fantastic place to stay. The views were outstanding and it was easily walkable to everything we wanted to see. However, for what is being charged per night, the amenities could be updated. The shower fixtures were all rusted and the tile moldy. The linens need to be thoroughly cleaned as they smelled quite musty.

Very pleasant view of the ocean, clean bedroom/bathroom, excellent location, and fast reliable Wi-Fi and very friendly staff.

The blinds were broken, so we didn't have 100% privacy.

Personally I did like the location, it's a nice quiet, residential area, near the flea market, a few good cafes and a small park. The tram 28 is near by also and runs frequently...

Unfortunately, the apartment lacked being what I expected for the price. The apartment has great potential, but that's not taking advantage of, which is a real shame, in my opinion. However, the views are fantastic from the large windows in the open planned kitchen-dining area. The drain odour in the apartment was unbearable at night, the smell comes up from the drain system in the bathroom. The only option was to open all the windows, balcony door and put a towel underneath the bathroom door, to try and eliminate the smell. There wasn't any extra bedding, just a very sorry two pillows and one thin duvet, as it was October it would have been nice to be provided with a couple of blankets. There was randomly an inflated camping mattress in the living room and some lager plants in pots which looks like they've been left unwatered for a while.

The location of the property was excellent. The views from either side of the apartment were spectacular and it was a very quiet building. Everything was nearby and we were able to walk wherever we wanted to go.

The glasses for the place were sparse. There were two mismatched small glasses and two mismatched large glasses. For a wine-producing country there was only one white wine glass and one red wine glass. The red wine glass had a crack in it so one of us had to drink wine out of a juice glass. You would think the host would have this checked after each stay to make sure the facilities were up to par. The refrigerator had some large messy spills in it and the person who met us told us they would get someone to clean it up. No one ever came.

We waited for a host for 25 min at least at check in although she was notified 30 min in advance as requested. Apartment has an awful smell from the bathroom which reaches all parts of it and makes almost impossible to stay there. The host could not fix it and explained by the level of the ocean. The host did not offered any solution. Also extra sofa was broken and as a solution we were offered an air bed.
