對於五星級飯店等級的星野谷關 我的體驗是 設備好 溫泉好 景色好 其他 一般般 甚至有種不及格的狀況 因為以日本星野 我能感受到是服務人員的服務的熱忱 與專業 但谷關星野 我覺得 服務的素質還需要提升 人員應該要多多的培養 而不是上線的第一天就直接上場 人員熱情雖高 服務雖然用心 但 專業度不足。對我來說 對這樣品質與費用的飯店 仍是不及格 對於星野的晚餐套餐 我覺得 山上的山菜與肉才是特點。如果硬是一直提供海鮮 但海鮮卻沒有像漁港直送的品質 我是覺得有失其品質。還不如單點天婦羅與控肉飯還好些

Excellent service, nice place and good food

impeccable service by warm and friendly staff who were attentive without being obtrusive. beautiful, tranquil grounds lower your blood pressure immediately upon entering and the gorgeous scenery only adds to the overall ambience. the bed was super comfy and the room was spacious and comfortable. it might be useful to have a safety gate on the stairs in case of children or folks who use the restroom in the middle of the night, though. facilities were serene and lovely. the outdoor soaking area (yes, you do have to be naked) is lovely and not to be missed. overall, it is very expensive but a wonderful, worthwhile splurge if your budget allows it. we enjoyed the private access to the trailhead for a bit of morning exercise - it's a short but blood-pumping hike to the rest pavilion. note that you can walk into town fairly readily, but if anyone in your group has creaky knees, the hills and steps may be a challenge for them. we ate one meal in town and two in the hotel. again, it's not cheap, but it was excellent food, presentation, and service. i also loved the soft pajamas they have for you to wear while there - a pair for in-room use and a pair for on-premises use. it added to my overall feeling of relaxation.

The hotel grounds and rooms are beautifully designed and built. Both public and in-room onsen are excellent! The only minor suggestion would be to expand the restaurant menu to include more choices. Also the location, while beautiful, is a bit out of the way - it's 1.5 hr car ride from Taichung train station, and we only found out later that with advanced booking, the hotel could arrange a car transfer directly from Taipei (2.5 hr). We loved our stay and would highly recommend it!

It was an amazing experience! Everything was more than we expected! Highly recommended!
