Canyon Lodge Agafay

Comfortable room, giant bed (2 individual beds), good shower, swimming pool was very clean, food was excellent

The price was very high compared to Merzouga/Erg Chebbi desert camp. The place was nicely build years ago, but not maintained since then. I think with this price range you can expect more. It makes the stay less comfortable. Also there was very loud music till late at night while we wanted to have some rest and a good sleep (2AM or later), while the website advertises silence and retreat. During the breakfast at 9, a member of the staff asked how we are doing and he said he hadn't had lots of sleep, which i think was very unprofessional.

Our stay at canyon lodge exceeded our expectations, as soon as we arrived we were made to feel at home by the staff. We are both vegetarian so were slightly worried about the food options but we were catered for amazingly, lunch, breakfast and dinner were all incredible. The food was all homemade, fresh and delicious and there was always more than enough of it. The pool and area around the pool were stunning and the perfect place to relax. We decided to do a quad bike trip and really enjoyed it. Overall the stay was perfect but what topped it off were the amazing staff, Lahcen and Lhoussain couldn’t do more for you, thank you both!! Hopefully one day we will be back and see you again.

Thé place is very unique, very welcoming and sincerely kind staff

The location was great, deep into the Agafay desert which is not really a sand desert but just a plain dry area. The swimming pool was very nice and that's where I spent most of the free time. There are just a few rooms at the hotel so it cannot become too busy.

We aren't convinced they changed the sheet before we arrived. They also only cleaned easy to reach places, so behind the door quite some dirt collected. Also it looked like they skipped all of the finishing touches, which made the room look a lot worse than the pictures. At night the lights of the hotel were too bright to be able to do good stargazing from the patio of the room. Internet only worked in the main building. Electricity didn't always work and hot water also didn't always work. We arranged for a pickup in Marrakesh, which was arranged great, but there was a last minute price increase due to increased gas prices which was announced late and a bit disproportionate the the gas price increase. Activities are (too) expensive.

La balade en chameau 🐪 au coucher du soleil était fantastique le repas 1 vrai délice et le désert fut 1 expérience unique à recommander On remercie encore Emmanuel et son équipe de choc !!!!
