The Villa Wrea Green

I think the best experience was EVERY member of staff we spoke to, were extremely friendly, understanding, helpful, organised, extremely polite, knowledgeable and keen to please. Whoever does the staff training here, is to be applauded. However, not one member of staff we spoke to, and there were 7 in total, made us feel they were giving us 'automated or rehearsed ' answers. Overall, the staff seemed naturally very happy to be there and so it shone through the whole evening. The kitchen staff who came out to be applauded, looked a very happy bunch of people. The food was of the highest class with an amazing attention to detail, something akin to what you might see on Masterchef! Well done The Villa at Wrea Green....twas our first visit and sleep over....won't be our last! We are booked in for Sunday lunch next week!

Hotel was very nice, in a beautiful setting,service was good ,breakfast was v not very good,bacon was undercooked & tasted a bit off & the hot food was not great

Hidden Gem slightly dated but extremely clean we really enjoyed our stay made to feel really welcome. Evening meal was outstanding along with breakfast this place is not the ritz but you get a 5 star service to rival the ritz We will definitely recommend & return

The setting is fantastic, building looks very nice and the bar area was cozy. However the log fires were not lit and it was snowing outside. The WiFi is non existent and no mobile coverage. No good for business travellers.

We stayed for my friends wedding and the staff were AMAZING! They really couldn't do enough for us. The food was really good in the restaurant, breakfast and during the wedding. The rooms were spacious and clean, I would certainly recommend for a 1 night stay. The decor is a little tired and dated but the areas were very clean. If they updated the door locks to key cards, soundproofed the rooms a little and modernised the decor it would be a superb 5 star hotel.

My third visit to this hotel at Xmas and as always a comfortable stay. Staffing levels and service levels even better than previous years, particularly in bar area, and the small Xmas gift in room was new and a nice touch. Recommended.
