BnA Alter Museum

The location is great, close to the train/bus stations, walkable to shopping districts and temples.

The only things i wish they could provide are a bigger garbage bin in the bathroom and a drawer or a closet for hanging the clothes. Also there are no windows in our room.

Nice désignée hôtel and intersting concept

Cannot open window (even not a little bit to get fresh air and without risk to fall out, as seen in other hotels) in the room and rooms are very small. aircon need to turn all day and night. Breakfast concept: you have to chose your breakfast meal the day before plus arrival time. Opening at 8. Not flexible at all when you would like to change something or arrival 10 minutes before opening: not even for a coffee.

Our room was a bit boring and small but fine. We had the green garden room which was a bit of a Super Nintendo colour scheme with an outdoor light which felt a bit cheap and not as interesting as some of the others so overall a bit disappointed but it was fine. Lots of rules at check in and no room service every day but overall we had a great stay and great location to explore Kyoto.

La dimensione delle stanze

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer (doll house, mit dem runden Bett). Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption hatten uns -kostenfrei- ein Upgrade gegeben, weil wir gefragt hatten, ob wir ein größeres Zimmer bekommen könnten. Alle waren sehr freundlich und die Lage in Kyōto ist super. Ganz nah am Geisha-Viertel und auch die anderen Attraktionen sowie Geschäfte und Restaurants ist Alles fussläufig zu erreichen.

Das Frühstück, was wir im Voraus schon gebucht hatten, ist zwar lecker aber nicht sehr üppig. Man bekommt es „à la carte“ und wenn man noch etwas (ein Ei!) dazu haben möchte, muss man extra bezahlen. Das Personal im Frühstücksraum war freundlich aber etwas überfordert. Da die Zimmer wirklich wunderschön sind (ist ja auch ein Art-Hotel) sind sie nicht praktisch, man hat so gut wie keine Ablagen. Aber es ging mit dem größeren Zimmer dann doch ganz gut.
