San Gabriel Apartments

Great quiet location, very clean, we were given a key code but the owners also met us on arrival to show us around our beautiful accommodation, the pool (how to work the pool lights and waterfalls) and extra outdoor shower.

...we forgot that the payment is in cash, but there is an ATM less than 5 mins drive.

Beautiful pool and gardens. Warm and friendly personal welcome. We stayed in the upstairs apartment and felt we were in an oasis far away from the lively and busy La Fortuna (10 minutes drive away) but close to shops and restaurants of the local community. Grocery store just a couple of minutes walk away. Recommend restaurant Victorinos for great food and service. It’s a twenty minute walk or few minutes drive. Also recommend the nearby Sloth Territory for a great guided tour to see beautiful sloths in their natural habitat. Gabriel requires payment on arrival in cash.

The backyard ! Absolutely amazing, the garden is beautiful and so are the pools, what a beautiful setting! We liked that it was outside La Fortuna, more quiet and we got take out from local restaurants 👌🏻 Next door to Don Olivo chocolate tour Host super responsive and kind :)

We had a few (3) crawling visitors in the evening 🪳but we might just have been unlucky, the place was clean and uncluttered.

Fantastic apartment in a local neighbourhood, close enough yet away from the hustle and bustle of town. You need a car, but all sights and activities the area has to offer are a short to medium length drive away. Loved the beautiful garden and pool, very much appreciated the completely stocked kitchen and laundry machine. All one needs!

Very clean and comfortable. Secure onsite parking. Markets and restaurants within 5 minutes drive. 15 minutes to La Fortuna. Pool/jacuzzi and bbq area is amazing! We spent most of our time using it. Host is responsive and lives close by. AC unit works well but bedroom doors must be left open to get circulation. Otherwise bedrooms get hot. Host provides pot and pans and even left half dozen eggs for us. Nice place!

These things were minor but impacted our overall comfort level. Going in knowing what to expect may be helpful. If you get the lower unit, you can hear movements of those staying upstairs. Also, bring your own washcloths as these are not available. The shower head gets good water flow but definitely needs to be replaced. It sprays everywhere! We wet the whole bathroom even with the curtain closed. Host should add hooks or bars in the bathroom.

Just great! This home is beautiful inside and out. The owners are very helpful with everything! We enjoyed our stay here. It's also close to the Don Olivo Chocolate Farm, Sloth and Monkey Tour and Victorino's Restaurant.

Lovely little house and lovely and sweet hostess. The apartment is very clean and the pool area is amazing. The one downside is that there is only one AC unit so to get the bedrooms cooler we needed to sleep with the bedroom doors open. You need a car to get around since you are a bit outside of town.
