Vík Hostel

It was clean and comfortable. Friendly, helpful receptionist. Liked having the animals outside.

Kitchen small for the number of guests. No washing machine / dryer for laundry. None in the town either.

Our room on top floor was a bit cramped

Location was good, guests were quiet and kept to themselves which was good. Comfortable and homey.

We had a family room with two sets of bunk beds and one chair, it would have been nice to have a desk to set things on instead of the floor. Not a big deal, but would have been a bit more comfortable.

Good location. It was nice that we could play with the dogs and feed the horses. Comfortable beds. Homie atmosphere with the other guests in the shared kitchen.

The hostel is very shabby and urgently needs redecorating. I know I could not expect luxury from a village hostel, but at least the shared bathroom and shower should be decent. The shower was barely usable, even a slim person can barely fit inside. Not to mention there was no hot water in the morning.

We stayed 3 nights mid June, we really loved the place !

The location is very good, surrounded by nature.

We had zero interaction with the owners/staff. It felt very impersonal. Nobody to check us in, we just picked a key and the room/building had very basic amenities. It felt very weird to not have anyone talk to you/greet you. Felt more like an Airbnb. It was a bit loud and noisy with the other guests in the building. Would not recommend to book for the price/lack of hospitality.
