The Fox & Hounds Inn & Camping Pods

Room 8 superior room was lovely, winter weather and room and bathroom were so warm and cosy, well worth psing extra!. Andy in the bar was an excellent host with a well stocked bar. A wealth of area knowledge!

Breakfast, regrettably was not good and don't like giving adverse comments but the chef should think about what is bring served...this could so easily be rectified. Other family members rented the cottage and we all had breakfast there on the second morning!

Location, room, staff and food

absolutly spotless, wonderful staff, great food, wonderful hospitality in room, extreamly peaceful in stunning location. wonderful & extreamly quiet comfortable room, with great views.

if anything, a better, more choice evening meal menu.

I liked the location and the price. It was really what it said, a pod in the middle of nowhere.

There were spiders and cobwebs in the room, and someones stuff in the drawers. The shower/toilets were as expected, but were covered in pee. We were told to come to breakfast at 8:30am, so we headed there as we were in a rush, staff seated us and then disappeared. 30 minutes later some more people arrive, they're seated and served. The staff rushed into the back and got their food. I attempted to get the waiters attention but she ran into the back again. She continued to serve every other person in the room as me but refused to make eye contact. I managed to get her attention after she came to clear the plates of the people who arrived after us and asked if we could be served. She took our order and food came 20 minutes later. The wait time to get served was 50 mins, and we would have been ignored if we didn't flag her down. Food was lovely though, but with the wait, we nearly missed checking out.
