Jeonju Hansung Tourist Hotel

Personally the only good thing is location. Room are from the 60s, they are small and there is a horrible notice saying that you need to tip if you want a tea.(better not to put any tea facilities in the room). Staff are likeable but very expensive for the kind of hotel :-(. Benikea Management should travel to see other countries standards. Obviously it's a sign that Korea is not prepared for European Tourism

The hotel looks chique when you enter the lobby, but the rooms are old fashioned. (No flatscreen TV, old furniture) It's fine though, nothing special but nothing really wrong. Location is in the middle of the (noisy) shopping atea, very near hundreds of shops and also near the hanok village. In our room we could hear the music of the shops. Breakfast is bread with jam or cornflakes. Staff is friendly and they speak a bit English. Wifi in the room, good bed, good shower.

The hotel is not very pricey and therefore its a bit old. However the location does make up for some of its drawbacks. Located right within the shopping district, you do not need to worry about food and shopping, when you are using this hotel as your base. However, the Hotel reminds me of an old dormitary, and the beds are also old as well. It is not exactly top class standard, as the toilet comes with really old taps and old shower heads, but its not dirty as well. As other reviews have also highlighted, the hotel is also a bit noisy at night, due to the night life in the shopping district, and therefore I 2nd that view! :) Breakfast is boring and not worth the bother as well... This hotel is definitely for a budget traveller.

Good clean hotel in middle of newer section of town. Walking distance to many attractions. Rooms clean and large and hotel reception very friendly.Enjoyed our stay and very convenient for eating and shopping !

I stayed at this hotel last February 14, 2012 for 1 night. I tried reserving online but encountered a lot of errors. I emailed Benikea and they advised me to call the hotel directly to make the reservation. I called the hotel when I got to Seoul and the reservation process was quick. The lady who answered the phone spoke enough english to help me. She just asked for the dates and my name. We went to Jeonju by bus so we had to take a cab from the Bus terminal. It was probably a 7-10 min ride but the cab ride didn't cost much. I liked the location of the hotel. It was in the middle of a shopping district with lots of stores and cafes around. The bibimbap restaurant we were looking for was a 10 min walk away. Other tourist spots like the Cathedral and Jeonju Hanok village were 15-20 mins away. The room was okay. We booked an ondol room and it was warm and cozy. The wallpaper was lovely. It was made up of traditional Korean paper. The room amenities were enough for me. The TV had cable, there was a mini fridge in the room, enough towels in the bathroom, a shampoo and conditioner dispenser. Wifi was available in the room as well. There was free breakfast but we realized that a bit too late... during checkout. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We asked for directions several times and they gladly helped us and showed us a map. Check out was at 12pm and our bus to Seoul leaves at 5pm so we asked if we could leave our luggage with them and they said OK. They even called a taxi for us when we came back to get our stuff. The only thing that I didn't like in this hotel... the ELEVATOR. We got stuck in the elevator twice and it was scary. We pressed the call/help button and nobody responded. Good thing the elevator decided to move and open after randomly pressing some buttons. I hope they replace this soon.

Location is far from bus terminal, but cab around 3700won, so still ok. But near to downtown. walking distance to all the shops n restaurant. Our room is ondol. No hot/cold water dispenser. Kettle only... But we Abit disappointed on the buffet breakfast. Simple one only n from 7.30am till 9am! We almost overslept! Reception counter - speak minimum English. When we asked whether we can put our luggages with them after we checkout. They dint understand at all what we trying to say. Aiks
