Casa Viviana - Bari Policlinico

Location is ok if you want to be near the train station and far from the historic center. There's a lot of supermarkets nearby and some restaurants. So that's a plus. The house is in good condition and my room was pretty chill. With a nice balcony with 2 chairs and a table.

Cleaning is not done on daily basis, just when someone was checking out. No toilet paper... you must buy your own.

Room vas spacious and mostly clean.

Bathroom was dirty. They didn't change the towels, floor was very dirty and it was very obvious it was not cleaned after previous guests. The price is too high for those conditions.

They were not accommodating at all. Air conditioner was not working and they called a technician who said that it needed to be replaced. we complained to the manager to get the A/C fixed and they told us that it was the owner who would make the decision on when to replace the unit. They stated that they could move us on our last day but we would need to pay an additional $80 euros. They didn't want to accommodate to put us in a room with air conditioning which worked and they left us where it was hot for the time there. The one day my son said the room went to 26 C - hot room and bad experience.

Limpieza

The room was clean and my A/c worked, which is essential during summer, but other rooms weren’t so lucky.

There is one shared bathroom for 3 rooms - up to 8 guests or so. The cleaner does not come everyday unless someone checks out. The toilet seat is broken and moves badly when you sit on it. When the cleaner does come - NO toilet paper is left. You get a roll in your room. For me, that small roll was meant to last 3 days. The worst thing is, the manager does not care about travellers needs. I requested to drop my large suitcase at 12, when check in was 3. He said the room wasn’t ready, despite my requests. When I arrived at the property, there is a large communal area that with a locked suitcase, would have been fine to leave my bag. The staff, that I never saw, just weren’t interested in being accomodating.

Las camas muy comodas, la habitación amplia y el balcon nos encantó.

Justo nos tocaron huespedes que usaron mucho el baño. La ubicación es bastante lejos del centro.

The location was pretty close to the train station

Everything was very dirty, both the private room and the shared bathroom. In the room, it looked like only the sheets had been changed, because the rest of the room was dirty, with sneaker marks on the floor, etc. The bathroom was truly disgusting. I understand that it's shared, and this also depends on the other guests, but it was noticeable that the owners hadn't cleaned it in weeks, because of how dirty it was. I've been in hostels where the bathroom was much better. Furthermore, the shared washing machine ruined one of my t-shirts; I don't recommend using it either. I don't recommend this place. It's better to pay a little more for a better and cleaner place, or go to a hostel for the same price or even less.
