Song Hua Ju

A very unique, random but cool place in a remote "village". To get there, you cross the bridge over the river with a stunning view. It's close to beautiful hikes and they provide a solid healthy breakfast. Lunch and dinner as well if you want, with veggies from their own garden. Downstairs is filled with taiwanese artifacts and statues and upstairs is a gallery. It's very relaxed and an experience to stay here if you love hiking! The staff was super friendly and welcoming! A bit over 2hrs from Taichung with a direct bus to Lileng, 7 minute walk from bus stop Lileng.

Very friendly owner (has a lot to share about alternative health practices, offered me their scooter when they knew I was going places by foot), quiet place, quite some hiking routes around (guguan mountains, walking distance to a peaceful stream)

Suggest to consider placing an armchair in the room for more comfortable “me” time. Vicious mosquitoes but I think that is nature :)

Great location for exploring the nearby mountains. Friendly (even though the English of the staff is very limited). Good breakfast (and good hot pot dinner). Nice and clean room. Hikers atmosphere.

The room was clean, and there's a restaurant. Not much else to eat in the area.

The bed was not the most comfortable.
