Der Vibe, das tolle Personal, die Lage. Ich glaube, entweder man liebt Kastytis oder man hasst es. Wir haben es geliebt, auch die Kinder. Es ist eine besondere Unterkunft mit einem besonderen Flair. Das Personal war außergewöhnlich, immer aufmerksam und darum bemüht, dass sich alle wohlfühlen. Sie haben mit Kastytis einen tollen Ort geschaffen, der alle mit offenen Armen empfängt. Auch unsere Hunde wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Gemeinschaftsküche war hervorragend ausgestattet, viel besser als die Küchen anderer Gemeinschaftsunterkünfte, die wir besucht haben. Ebenso das Bad, es gab verschiedene Hygieneartikel zur freien Verfügung sowie richtige Handtücher.

Die Matratze des Sofabettes war nicht so bequem wie die zwei Einzelbetten, aber das ist der einzige Kritikpunkt.

It’s always a pleasure coming back to Kastytis and its vibe. I just wish it stays like this, laid back, friendly and comfortable with passion to keep old Nida vibe. The location is also excellent both for hikers and cyclists, and you can also keep your bicycle inside the room since every room has separate entrance. Looking forward to another visit there next summer!

Patiko vieta su nuostabiu vaizdu į marias. Labai mielas, draugiškas personalas. Yra virtuvėlė. Malonu gerti kavą su pienu, kuria vaišina šeimininkai ir nuo kalnelio gėrėtis Nidos vaizdais. Būtinai sugrįšiu...

I first found out about this place via instagram. It's a spot popular amongst young people with a hostel vibe, vintage charm and availability of shared rooms for groups. The owners are lovely and have a deep attachment to the place from their childhoods. There were some complimentary trendy drinks, and a mini fridge to store our own snacks from the shop. The town centre/bus stop is ~10 minutes walk away. We came near the end of the season, when it was a bit cooler. Very nice to listen to wind in the trees, rain on the roof and right by the entrance is a long wharf which is good for pondering. I also saw a cute hedgehog by some of the stairs. Down to earth vibe, get the feeling a lot of people are visiting the local Art Colony. There is a strong noise curfew to encourage guests to be mindful late at night, and earplugs provided for sensitive sleepers. The shower and toilet were clean and the bed was comfortable. The room we got matched the photos, and suited our stay as cycling tourists. It was an affordable place, and I'd like to come here with a group of friends in future. I didn't use the kitchen, instead getting nice recommendations from the owners on where to go for dinner.

There is a steep set of stairs, which may be difficult if you overpacked on luggage. There is an alternative entrance recommended for bikes, which is passing through a graveyard. Walls are not sound-proof to conversations/ videos in other rooms. I tested my IQ with the Venetian blinds, which are very necessary for privacy as the windows all face the "hallway".
