Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge

Super coole und moderne Anlage. Es gibt eine Feuerstelle und Whirlpool, der klasse war. Das Zimmer war schick im Cottage-Stil eingerichtet. Clean und modern, aber trotzdem gemütlich. Das Badezimmer war riesig. Das Hotel liegt nur einen 19-minütigen Fußweg vom Stowe Stradtzentrum entfernt.

Es war relativ laut, v.a. in der Früh. Das Essen im Hotel war miserabel.

Lovely room with a view and fireplace. Add on packages are expensive for what you actually received. Lodge area is cosy and staff very attentive. Quite pricey but you are in Stowe

Location, location, location. Right beside Cady Hill for east MTB access. Right beside some of the best restaurants in Stowe. All these things make it great.

We’ve stayed at all of the Lark/Bluebird hotels in Stowe. We love them for their amenities and how proximal they are to the things we want. The attention to detail for the price remains the occasional challenge. This time our smoke detector wasn’t going off but had a low battery signal flashing over head. Our room had a wet dog smell to it from the get go which was off putting. Otherwise very quiet and the proximity makes it so hesitate to publicly post these issues, but they feel somewhat systemic to these properties hence the post (ie in the past it’s been broken TVs, ac units, non functional amenities at the resort). Notably the small items are always fixed rapidly by the team for which we are grateful.

The hotel provided a number to call after office hours- thankfully and the staff on duty arrived quickly early in the morning when we had a problem and called - the bathroom door got locked from inside- have never experienced anything like this.

The room smelled stale as soon as we entered- and that was an immediate put off for me and my wife. The exterior looked dated but the interior was worse and sitting area was dimly lit. The bathroom seemed bright but was small and no counter space by the sink - but behind what looked like a large cubby hole. By morning the bathroom started smelling dank with the wet towels we had used for the shower the night before. You had to be careful stepping out of the room because it was at a higher level than the corridor. In the morning we found that the bathroom door would not open- and we had no option but to call the phone number for after office hours (thankfully they responded to the call and arrived in 15 minutes). We never expected any place that was rated “Very good” in Booking.com to be this bad. I had always trusted Booking.com ratings and have not been disappointed like this since I have been using it over a decade. I don’t know if this was some unused room that the management decided to make available due to the fall color rush.

Great, expansive location with beautiful views. Convenient to restaurants and other activities. Wonderful indoor pool and large hot tub. Outdoor free pit surrounded by comfy chairs (staff lit the fire as soon as it got dark). Bedding felt luxurious. Parking ample and very convenient.

There was very little counter space in the bathroom. If I returned, I would bring a small folding table with me. Breakfast was not provided, although there was a very small bar where you could purchase a few items.
