Cairns Harbourside Hotel

Yesterday was my lucky day Ms Maya booked me early into my room and rest well. Thanks to the hardworking employees 😍😍😍

I like everything

Very comfortable room with nice views of the bay. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful and efficient. Hotel had really nice facilities and convenient for walking along the promenade into the center of town

Spa is not a real spa, is cold. There is not any luandromats in the hotel. I saw mould everyehere in the bathroom.

The buffet breakfast was not up to standard. At $33 per person + surcharge for public holiday it was disappointing to view. I’m glad the staff member gave me the option to look before committing. I’ve never seen off white scrambled eggs before.

Great location on the esplanade, sea views. Very easy commute to airport. Good sized room and bedding. Great balcony views. In house restaurant and room service available.

Staff at check-in could be more friendly. I think they mistake efficiency and courteousness are mutually exclusive. I am a local and alluded to the fact that the hotel was known by a different name not too recently. This was met with a very curt denial - not sure why - some people like myself actually liked the previous hotel and would be glad to stay here even if therew as a name change. That reception person is not very friendly period.
