The Sebel Quay West Suites Sydney

The standout feature is the breathtaking view from the two-bedroom apartment—waking up to both the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House through the expansive windows was truly memorable. The staff were exceptionally cordial, proactive, and genuinely helpful—easily among the best service experiences I’ve had across hotels in Australia. The setup is also very well-suited for families.

There was nothing noteworthy to fault—everything was well-managed and met expectations throughout the stay.

Absolutely amazing location, the view from the main window onto the harbour was incredible. Only a 2 minute walk to restaurants, shops, the harbour itself and tram stops. Lovely apartment to stay in. Beds were very comfortable and the bedding was great quality. The blinds were blackout so you weren’t woken up by morning sun which was fantastic, but you did have the option to roll up the blinds and have a sheer curtain for during the day which lit up the room. Bathrooms had all amenities needed. Kitchen was well stocked and had all appliances needed too. Small drying space for clothes too if you chose to wash and not tumble dry. The living area was great, with comfy sofas and a large dining table. The reception area was welcoming! Plus it was a bonus to have an elevator that took you down to the parking level so less walking up the hill. Great power to the shower which was a nice surprise, as the head was small. It did take a while to warm up but once in, it was a lovely shower. The doorman on our last day offered me tissues when we said goodbye to each other which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast at the restaurant on site was great too. A little pricey but very good quality and filling. The pool was a great size and temperature, however more sunbeds could be useful as there were multiple occasions they were all taken.

The shower in the main bathroom did not drain well and ended up filling up substantially (up to above my ankles) which wasn’t pleasent to stand in when showering, especially the first shower I took when the water was cold for quite a while. There were some dirt marks on the ceiling of the main bathroom too. The second bedroom didn’t have enough room to have two suitcases open simultaneously, however that wasn’t a major issue. The hotel is also on a steep hill, so if you have mobility issues, bear this in mind. We were charged 3 additional items on our checkout from the minibar which, if I hadn’t checked my exit email, I wouldn’t have been aware. The money was refunded after a couple of days, but it is worth checking your bill. They were very apologetic which I appreciate!
