Casa Vista Bandama Vivienda Vacacional

All good.

We spent two weeks in this peaceful place, where to relax after the day at the beaches, hiking on the nice mountains or simply visiting the beauties of the island, thanks to its very convinient position, close to the main roads and island locations. The house is big, extra clean, with all comforts (dishwasher, A/C, SAT TV, Internet connection) and characterized by the special touch of Mieke style and taste. Everithing is new and in perfect order. You can get your aperitf either in the veranda or in the garden where are in both placed armchairs and side tables. Further in the garden there is a nice table with chairs where you can have your breakfast or dinner, in contact with the nature surrounded by the wonderful Bandama peak view (which is a nice walking experience starting from the same house). Mieke & Jan are the two special hosts. Extremely kind, open and warm, that you feel them as long time firends. They foresee all your possible needs, offer a lot of good advice and really care of you. Let me use only one world: FANTASTIC!

Nothing

The accommodation is an annex of the hosts home. They have decorated and furnished it with love and care. All the kitchen appliances are perfect and there are blinds for the hot sun and even aircon. We got lost on our way from the airport due to a bad location on Google maps and Jan drove out to meet us. They really are the perfect hosts.

Personally I found the lane a little lumpy. But Gran Canaria has a lot of roads not tarmac like the UK. It was not a big problem.

if you come here with a rented car, make sure you rent one which can deal with a dirt road. ( that is not a bad idea in Gran Canaria anyway)

This was ideal for us. It is a rural location with views of the peak and caldera. You have access to three outdoor seating areas one of which also has a sea view. It is convenient for quickly reaching the GC1. There are great walks straight out of the front door. The hosts were friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. There is convenient parking and the property itself is clean, comfortable and spacious. We had a couple of days where we couldn't go out and the apartment meant this wasn't a chore at all.

For us nothing just keep in mind this is fairly remote so most facilities are a drive or a fair walk away.

A heartfelt thanks to Mieke and Jan for their exquisite hospitality and for the care with which they welcomed us into their home. A beautiful and well-kept house with large windows opening onto a breathtaking view.
