I liked the location, the bar was clean and cosy, all staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable, we were also happy with the location for my son’s Pass out parade in HMS Raleigh.

The outside didn’t look very inviting but I was pleasantly surprised once I was welcomed

Hotel location town centre. Beds comfortable, staff very pleasant & helpful especially maitre d (or maitresse)d at breakfast. Food really quite good for a buffet inc scrambled egg. Room service. Good wifi. Private parking on ground floor £9 per day

No air-conditioning. Sadly visit coincided with hottest days of the year. Window opened a few inches onĺey. No flexible hose type shower - you CANNOT rinse female private parts with a static shower head. Result - vulvovaginal candidiasis. Overflow hole to wash-basin black & filthy. Duvet weighed a ton. Thankfully we had brought our own.

Excellent hotel, perfect for ferry connection. I arrived at 11pm and check-in was easy, good breakfast and no need to rush in morning as check-out was midday which was when my ferry opened.
