USVery clean, Valet team was extremely helpful and nice, room service for breakfast was perfect and reasonably priced.
I called and was told my room was ready early; arrived and it was not ready for another 3 hours. This is not on the hotel, but it was disappointing none the less- I thought the smoothie shop and chick fil a would be open during my stay but it's only open M-F, closed on weekends. That caused us to have an issue getting food for our kids. Lastly, the pool room was freezing and the pool water was so cold, we could not enjoy it. The pool was the only reason I booked this hotel.
Stayed here for a competition weekend. I wish I could rate this higher but unfortunately the hotel experienced big problems with the cold weather. Starbucks and Chick-Fil-A were closed all weekend due to burst pipes I think. The restaurant did not adjust. We were given hours that were no longer valid and when we tried to order room service at another time no one answered the phone. The lobby was freezing due to being the weekend and the high open space with windows. Front desk staff were kind and the only high point. Never offered any compensation for the problems despite the high cost and expected amenities. We will likely be in the area next year for the same competition, and I wish I could book here but this was hugely disappointing.
Everything was great! Hotel was beautiful, Shawn was amazing driving us around on the Shuttle. Coffee option for room was only dark roast or decaf. But other than that the stay was great.
USUSUSUSUSArrived the 4th weekend of March on a Friday and the arrival experience was okay. There was a wait and front desk staff appeared friendly but had difficulty understanding clear directions and questions. Staff did not provide information about the hotel or surrounding areas not provided information about amenities upon arrival as that was something that I had to figure out. There were issues with the room. The in room refrigerator was broken as well as 2 light fixtures that were not check by staff before the room was turned over to me so I had to request for maintenance. Also the bathroom shower/tub was not properly clean prior to my arrival as there was long straight hairs in the tub and on the shower walls from whomever the previous guest was. I requested that the housekeeping staff clean and provide new towels/ wash clothes and linen however the staff did not properly clean the bathroom nor provide the towels so I had to ask the front desk for the missing items. The in room refrigerator was replaced the same night of arrival but it took over 45 minutes for it to be completed after it was reported to the front desk staff. The light fixtures were repaired the next day, however one of them was not fixed completely.
Great experience overall, lovely hotel in a charming atmosphere. The location is perfect to visit Richmond, it has all you might need with a wonderful valet parking service and a great and convenient restaurant.
