Staff friendly but very busy and seemed rushed. Litter lying around stairs gave a very bad impression of what is an expensive hotel

We were delighted with our room and the central location of the hotel made it possible for us to walk to the event we were attending. The hotel and staff were brilliant

Great spot

Europa hotel was recommended to us by family who had stayed there and we were very happy to find it so conveniently located within a few minutes walk from the central train station. It was also within an easy walk to the City Hall Centre where most of the local buses and transit circulated. The room and bathroom was spacious and clean, and there was a nice selection of lounges, cafés, and restaurants on the premises, as well as in the neighbourhood. The piano bar on the second floor was a particularly nice spot for a late night tea or drink. The front desk staff and concierge were all extremely helpful and pleasant, and it was affirming to see the sustainability strategies that the hotel has employed.

This was my 1st visit to the Europa and I was made to feel very welcome, the room was great and I really enjoyed the ambience in the piano lounge. I will definitely stay again.

The woman who checked us in was great! She explained everything to us and was very friendly. We had booked 2 rooms, which were nicely arranged next to each other. I was impressed with the size of the room, as most rooms I’ve stayed in in Europe have been very small. The room was clean and suited our basic needs. However, when we woke up the next morning and went to shower, the shower did not work. We called the front desk asking for maintenance to come take a look and were told someone would be right up. After over an hour, no one had come. We called again and finally someone came up to see what was wrong. They were not able to fix it and we had to move to another room. This set back our day, ultimately impacting our sightseeing plans. On a positive note, they did allow us to change rooms at our own convenience so we could move on with our day and keep the keys to both rooms. Our other issue was with the piano bar. After arriving back later in the evening we stopped in to have a drink, and while several cocktail servers walked by us a few times, we were not acknowledged until we had to ask someone to help us. We were told we had to wait (almost 30-45 minutes) while the bar was closed to count the till. When the bar reopened, we could then have drinks again. This made zero sense to me! There were several customers still in the bar area, so why would you not wait to count money until closing time? It’s a nice clean hotel, just too bad we had these little issues affect our stay
