Hampton Inn & Suites Tifton

The breakfast was great.

We were charged $75 for our small dog for overnight stay? The happy hour they served soup? And it wasn’t good.

This Hampton Inn just completed a total renovation. Selection of decor, wallpaper and carpeting are very modern and attractive! We had a nicely appointed king room with microwave, mini- fridge, small table w/chair and a side chair with reading lamp as well. Only suggestion for management would be to install a handrail in the tub. We have stayed in this same Hampton Inn in Tifton, Ga many times in travel south and it has never disappointed!

We always choose a Hampton Inn when traveling with our dog and this was a really good one. Very clean and with lots of restaurants close by. The stand out star of our experience was a woman at the front desk named Margaret. She made every person in the lobby/eating area feel like you were family that had come to visit. We will definitely be making this hotel our stopover stay on our annual road trip north from now on.

Everything was great as usual for a Hampton Inn until we got our bill .. We were charged $75 for our dog for a one night, rewards, stay. No questions were asked or rates disclosed by Willie, the desk clerk, when we checked in.They wouldn’t have even known if we had a dog except I put it on our reservation. We’ll continue to use Hampton Inns but NOT this one ..

Location is great. It is easy to enter and exit the parking lot.

1. Check-in confusion with reservation. Because it was a 3rd party reservation, the front desk staff were critical of that. I do not know whether the hotel or booking.com made the mistake but my name was listed backwards. The initial staff person could not find the reservation, said nothing else could be done after trying different methods to find the reservation. She informed me I would need to pay for the night. I had pulled out my credit card to do that when she finally went & got the front desk manager who identified the problem and promptly checked me in. 2. The room was not comfortable nor what we expected. Also Toilet seat was crooked which made it difficult to use the commode. 3. The noise level was horrible. Being a parent myself I understand kids and noise. There were many parents & children guests in town for a youth football tournament. The children were allowed to run up and down the hall talking along with yelling until the wee hours as well as in their rooms. In fact my husband who enjoys the breakfast would not stay long enough to eat because the noise and lack of sleep.

We were greeted by an amazing young man named Willie. He was extremely helpful and made us feel welcome and comfortable. He offered is the snack that was available and told us of some local dining spots. The second evening we were surprised with a set up of broccoli cheese soup and cornbread. They also had chips and salsa and other prepared food. Many people were excited about this coming off the road as they didnt want to go back out to eat. Willie welcomed us to come back to stay with them the next time we came in to visit our daughter at college and gave us his cars to call him to book it. We enjoyed our stay much more because of these reasons and the beautiful facility. Its very warm and welcoming. Looks like a resort inside.
