Quality Inn & Suites Downtown Walla Walla

The staff are friendly and helpful. It’s just an old place that needs a lot of love and updated. Beds and pillows should be upgraded soon!! It is close to town and very convenient. It’s ok for a night or two but that’s it.

My stay was comfortable and quiet. No issues.

If you are paying off season or mid week rates this is a perfectly acceptable motel. It’s closer to downtown than some of the other hotels of similar price points in the area. It has a decent continental breakfast with some nice hot items. Beds are comfortable enough. But when you are paying weekend summer rates it feels a little less nice. It’s a bit grungy just more from age than lack of cleaning. Our shower didn’t seem to have very hot water and the door lock didn’t work well, it took 4-5 tries every time. The room smelled like it may have been a smoking room many years ago. But we’ll probably stay again if we have to go to Walla Walla on a wine weekend as it is one of the more affordable choices and we try not to spend too much time in the room anyway.

This hotel was disgustingly dirty. The carpets looked like they had not been cleaned forever. In the hallways, and in the rooms, our bed was slanted down, just an overall bad experience. The staff was friendly enough though.

We enjoyed a king suite with a kitchen and table. We were having our house painted so we needed a place to stay to get away from the mess and fumes. We cooked dinner both nights in the hotel. We brought our own pots and pans as the ones available were very scratched. There was a dishwasher, but no soap, so we washed everything by hand. It was still nice to have the extra space while we were here. The jacuzzi was nice, the pool was a little cool but refreshing. The shower was nice, but the space was small and the door stuck. Still, I would stay here again, even with the outdated furnishings. I liked the air conditioner which stayed on all night instead of going off and on and I liked the large space.

Location was great. Breakfast was stocked well but low quality and bland.At least there was somewhat a variety in choices between cereals, hot meals, and pastries.

Water temp controls are all reversed. Hot is cold. Cold is hot. Bed was very stiff and uncomfortable. They will not enforce ADA parking violations of non-ADA marked vehicles. The staff flat-out stated the owner does care about ADA compliance. All the doors stick and are not only squeaky but difficult to close without pulling hard resulting in door-jam slams. Cleaning services are virtually non-existent. Hallways are narrow and carpets are dirty/stained. Distance to on-ramp is nice but location is near police station so sirens are constantly going by your window all night. Bathroom light switch is outside the bathroom and no option to use just a fan separate from the light.
