The Dana on Mission Bay

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Dana Hotel. Due to an unexpected family emergency, I was forced to check out one day early from my three-night reservation. While I understand that hotels have policies, it is difficult to understand what a property gains by charging a guest for a room that is no longer being used because of a genuine emergency. Rather than showing compassion and flexibility, the hotel chose to keep the additional night’s room charge. To me, this feels less like customer service and more like corporate greed. Situations like this leave a lasting impression and make guests feel that policies are valued more than people. I had expected better from a hospitality-focused business. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my perception of the Dana Hotel. I will not stay here again, nor will I recommend this property to friends, family, or colleagues in the future.

The location is good in Mission Bay Area.

Nothing to dislike.

Bar staff was very pleasant and service was great.

The location is noisy. Too much road noise and the property is surrounded by public park with people blaring their music all day and night. People around the property smoking weed. Elevator smelled like weed every time we got into it.

It’s almost like a motel type. Walking the corridors are so loud that it’s hard to get some sleep.
