Thank you, Good People Hostel, for taking care of my belongings and my bicycle for these two months. But most importantly, I am eternally grateful to you for reminding me that I am a human being. You are the heartbeat of Belgrade's soul.

Hello young people. How are you? Today I want to tell you about the time I spent in Belgrade. I saw the true European and Balkan culture right here in the capital. Zero discrimination, full tolerance, and services provided by smiling staff. It’s the same in the markets, the hostels, the hotels, the cafes, and the restaurants. For example, Good People Hostel didn't even have to care about my bicycle, but they kept it for me, along with my old belongings and clothes. This is such a human act that it is beyond price. In cafes, there’s no one telling you 'don't sit there, sit here,' 'this is reserved,' 'don't sit inside,' 'you’ve smoked too much,' or asking 'where are you from?' No one says 'Go, go, go' because of where you come from. Here, you understand the meaning of life; you remember that you are a human being and that you can breathe. Neither the police nor anyone else interferes with your business. As long as you come as a human being, drink your drink, have your fun, and enjoy life. Work? No one questions your business; managers are smiling and approach you with humanity. If someone doesn't want you, they say it openly, but there is no violence—they don't tell you to 'go live in another country.' You know who said that to me... But here in the center, that doesn't exist. No one interferes with you. Are there rules? Yes. And they are strict rules, but they exist so that people can live freely without obstructing one another. No one asks if you are Muslim or Christian. They treat you as a human being.

Cubby hole beds are great, 12 to a room not so great, but it’s well designed so it’s a lot better than I would expect a 12 bed room to operate. Garden area is very nice. Staff is very helpful. Kitchen is good too. Location is in a very cozy part of Belgrade. Perhaps not most convenient spot for access to the center hub transport, but if u use Moovit app probably u can figure it out. And Belgrade is a nice city for walking too.

No real complaints about hostel. Had some roommates who didn’t realize that listening to video on phone at 2am without headphones is not kosher…

Good People Design Hostel è un ottimo ostello per soggiornare a Belgrado. Ho usufruito di una camera privata ed era spaziosa, pulita e ben arredata, così come il resto della struttura. Il personale è abbastanza gentile e disponibile. Wi-Fi funzionante, cucina attrezzata e bagni numerosi e puliti. Quartiere molto tranquillo, vicino a bar e ristoranti.

Purtroppo ho trovato un’atmosfera poco socievole, con ospiti piuttosto chiusi e poco inclini alla socialità, così come il personale.
