We checked in on a Tuesday afternoon and were met at the Registration desk by Joe. Joe was on his A+Game and a wealth of experience and knowledge of the history of the hotel and surrounding things to do.

"The hotel was absolutely what I wanted; 'old fashioned' ambience; perfect location for amenities"

Hotel location excellent for public transport and proximity to San Diego attractions. My room maid was excellent as were (generally) the reception staff. (one female was a little surly and offhand. Don't know her name)

the shower plumbing a little hit and miss. On my last night (not worth reporting until check out) the light switch in the sink area (not the loo area) wasn't working.

"This is our 4th year staying here for our annual San Diego Comic-Con trip, and we wouldn’t go anywhere else!"

Every year, my wife and I take a trip to San Diego for Comic-Con, and this was our 4th year staying here—we wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else! Sarah Contreras is a big part of why we keep coming back. Her hospitality, along with the amazing service from the entire staff, truly makes every stay special. They consistently go above and beyond, and it never goes unnoticed. We always look forward to coming back!

Staying at The Westgate Hotel was such a pleasurable experience. I arrived early after a disastrous reservation at another hotel and the staff at The Westgate helped immediately. They were so kind, helpful and informative especially the front desk representative named Joe. If you get the pleasure of working with him you won’t be disappointed. He is friendly and upbeat. Highly recommend staying here!

"Amazing."

It was great everything was so clean and pretty all the staff was amazing. The food was excellent. This was a gem of a find and will now be our new place to stay anytime in town. From the moment you walk in everything was just superb. They offer valet parking which was also a breeze to use. And have been so accommodating to everything. Rooms are cozy and large love love loved it all. Still thinking about the experience can’t wait to go back. Thank you for everything!

Honestly there was nothing we had any issues with our whole experience was just great.
