The location when I found it!

Where to start? Picked up the keys from a hotel Reception as required. But then the TROUBLE started. To avoid problems (I knew I wouldn't be arriving until after midnight) I emailed the property BEFORE arrival. I was told the address with a LOW single digit number. Having walked around ON A COLD NIGHT I reluactabtly asked 2 policemenr if they knew where the property was. They suggested I try a property with a street number with a 3-digit number beginning with a 2! They were right. Actually opening the door wasn't easy either. The instructions said to use the Yale key There WASN'T a Yale key Yes, there were 2 keys that looked similar to Yale keys but WHY NOT put a coloured marker on the RIGHT key? And even with only 2 keys, the door is not easy to open! I'm slim but I DEFY any American to squeeze through the only part of the door that opens from the outside. IMPOSSIBLE! After almsot 45 minutes of walking up and down a cold Edinburgh street after midnight I was cold BUT the heating was set to only 17 degrees AND THERE WERE CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS TO NOT ADJUST THE HEATING (GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!) Finally made it to bed but what's that. a wall clock that tickes every second!! Eventually tracked it down to the kitchen so clsoed the kitchen door. Who wants a ticking clock (other than a torturer)? Before going to sleep I emailed the property to explain the difficulties I'd had FINDING the property. Nex morning, I got an email saying this would be raised as a formal COMPLAINT 9 DAYS later, I've heard NOTHINGTalking of delays, I'm still waiting for my £250 Security Deposit to be returned! And I reported a bedside lamp that clearly wasn't safe, As I reached to plug in my mobile phone into a socket, I accidentally nudged to bedside cabinet & the top half of the bedside lamp fell over BUT REMAINED ON, This must have been known about by the cleaners I was not impressed by this apartment and I see JOIVY are a chain.

3 flights of very steep stairs difficult to climb with suitcases

Great location for those wanting to be in the heart of the Royal Mile. Located up two and half flights of stairs. Apartment itself was lovely, everything was catered for. Lots going on outside at all hours that didn't bother us, loved being amongst it all.

brilliant location

This was a great central location with all the comforts of home and I completely enjoyed myself even though my luggage had not yet been recovered by the airline! I could walk just about everywhere I wished to visit from this street. Edinburgh has a great vibe and is really beautiful!
