Quality Inn & Suites Mt Chalet

VERY disappointed Choice Hotels would let this hotel operate under their brand. We left two days early because the conditions were unbearable: Pool: Green, murky, and clearly unsafe (see photo). Hot Water: None — cold showers only. Beds: Rock-hard, zero chance of real sleep. Maintenance: Dim lighting in room and exterior corridors made it feel unsafe and gave a zombie apocalypse vibe. Actually, the whole place was run down and gave a zombie apocalypse vibe. We reported everything to the front desk and Choice Hotels within the first hour. Their “fix” was a room swap — nothing changed. After one sleepless night, we checked out at 9 AM and got hit with a surprise $25 early checkout fee (never disclosed). They also double-charged taxes and fees, making the nightly rate higher than quoted. Later, I discovered other reviews on Choice’s own site warning about the same exact issues — months back. Clearly, management is aware and doesn’t care. ThIs i a clear case of false advertising and deceptive billing. They literally STOLE our money. Bottom line: Photos are misleading, service is indifferent, and amenities are unsafe. Book elsewhere.

Tight space in the handicap room and I was unable to get the hoyer lift under the bed to transfer my husband from his power chair to the bed.

I didn't like anything about this motel.

Other guests were inconsiderate, yelling to each other in the parking lot and honking vehicle horns at 6 AM. Curtains don't close properly and don't block the light from the security light right outside the window. There was a large hole in the shower wall. The room smelled very musty and the carpet was soaking wet. The beds are hard an uncomfortable.
