Excellent accommodation, we were in the separate 3 bedroom complex with its own gardens, private pool and Jacuzzi, Luigi the owner was a great host, he even rescued us from Giarre after we couldn't get a taxi and took us to a local place where we were able to hire a car at a good price. Lungi speaks Excellent English. Facilities were superb, great views down to local towns and the sea. Would definitely stay again. Train ride around ETNA was nice. Ask Luigi about this. Taormina is a beautiful town up the coast and reachable easily by car.

Location was remote and not what booking.com state. It's 49 kilometres from Catania Airport and the taxi ride was €150. Our advice is hire a car at the airport, don't use SIXT as they wanted €707 for 5 days car hire, use Hertz in the booth next door as they charge €410 for 5 days hire. Forget Mascali beach, its not what it's cracked up to be. There are nicer places elsewhere. Other downside which makes parts of Sicily look dreadful is the fly tipping and litter by the roadside. This was even on local news with the Sicilians complaining about it. We noticed this as soon as we left the airport but it gets better as you head into the rural areas.

Borgo Barone deserves a 6 star rating. Fantastic view. Private pool and jacuzzi. Little paradise under the Italian sun. Host is very friendly and helpful.

The location is perfect for daily trips to Etna, Taormina or nearby restaurants. The flat had everything we needed and was very spacious! Everything was very clean and the communication with Luigi was top notch. He is there for you every morning!

Stunning Place! We had the best time here, the view is great, the whole garden and pool area is really stunning and Luigi is the most friendly person in this world. It was really quiet and a good start for our tours.

The host! Luigi made us feel very welcome from the start to the finish- everything we needed he was ready to help with. The apartment was clean and well located to explore around Etna

You do need a car to stay at this property but not a problem, there is good car parking

The place is beautiful and Luigi is a great host. Places like the beach, the Etna, and popular destinations are within reach and Luigi has some great tips for all of them. The swimming pool gets cleaned daily and is relaxing, especially with the stunning view in the background. I would definitely recommend it, as well for couples as families.

The bed could be a bit more comfortable, but that could be a personal preference.

Luigi was very helpful and accomodating, we have no problem. It is very nice place to stay. We felt like at home. We can recommend... nice view, nice place...great!
