Great location, good food and clean rooms. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent value for money.

The only issue was that the shower didn’t drain well but apart from that everything else was fine.

the staff and the food were absolutely superb. Nothing was to much for the staff. They were genuinely really attentative and friendly. Every smile made us feel we were in a happy place

Stains on carpet in bedroom and cheap uncomfortable mattress. Didn't have a lift so stairs were a struggle. If they had downstairs rooms or a lift disabled people like ourselves they would get more custom and I would uncertainty visit again

Perfect for a 2 day stay

I stayed here in March 2026 for one night. It was a lovely and cosy hotel, the staff were great and went above and beyond with every request and the food was amazing. I stayed in room 2 The Blorenge and it was really comfy and cosy and everything I needed for a great stay. I was particularly impressed by their selection of Gluten-Free food which was essential for my Celiac Girlfriend. I would highly recommend the Lamb & Flag to anyone staying in the area.

Bar was a little pricey. I paid £6.95 for a bottle of old Mout Cider But minimal really considering the great stay.

Room was clean and spacious with a large tv and drink making facilities. Good amount of coffee tea and milk Staff very helpful and accommodating with regards to changing the items on the breakfast etc.

Everything was good so no reason to list any problems.

The view and the location was perfect for me, a short 5min drive into Abergavenny town centre.

The road works! Lol but hopefully they be gone when I book again for June 😁
