The location is great, short walk to Royal Victoria Park, Royal Avenue, Royal Crescent. Bath centre is quite compact. We parked the car on arrival and did not get in it again until we left several days later. Room was comfortable.

There was nothing we particularly disliked. Wifi would have been nice but it was not a great issue as have plenty of mobile data.

The location was great, 2 mins walk from The Crescent. The bus from the airport stops very close to the B&B just before you get to Bath Spa train station, so perfect. The hosts were happy for you to leave your bags before and after check in and out. The rooms were clean, the double bed and pillow were comfortable, the single bed was not so, the room was for 3 people and it was big enough. The shower was not powerful at all, which was a pain, but I think this is quite normal for such old houses.

Breakfast was limited, porridge, cornflakes, grapes, scrambled egg on toast and croissants, nothing else. The B&B is hosted by a husband and wife, the gentleman was nice and friendly, the lady sometimes came across rude and not always friendly, so there were moments of awkwardness, which means I would sadly not return.

We had a wonderful stay at Elgin Villa and would highly recommend it. The location is excellent, quiet, with convenient parking, and within easy walking distance of Bath city centre and the main attractions. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The radiators were superb and kept the room perfectly warm. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a continental selection and freshly made scrambled eggs and toast to order. What truly made the stay special was the hospitality. Peter and Margarita are a lovely couple who made us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout. They also shared interesting nuggets of local history, which added a thoughtful and personal touch to our visit. Overall, a very enjoyable experience, we would definitely return.

- The people running it are a polite and nice old couple. They are quite helpful. - The room is tired but clean and big - The location is great

- they charge for their car park - tired bathroom and room - tv is not working - no wifi or internet provided - overpriced for the services provided (200 for a family room) - poor breakfast options I wouldn’t normally complain, but unfortunately the breakfast experience was quite disappointing. The fruit selection consisted only of grapes, which were still on the stems. The spreads were limited to orange jam and butter, and the croissants/brioche appeared to be long-life products and tasted stale. A small range of cereals. Scrambled eggs were available on request, but there didn’t seem to be a proper dairy-free option, the alternative provided was essentially a dried version of the same dish. There was also no plant-based milk available. Honestly, even a simple setup with a toaster, cheap bread, and a basic selection of spreads like jam and Nutella would have been preferable. As it stood, even my 9-year-old commented on the quality, which says a lot. I hope this feedback is helpful for improving the breakfast offering in the future.

As there is no WiFi I think this will discourage some visitors

Location was excellent. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very nice but we would have preferred a little more variety. However, we were made aware of what was on offer prior to our stay.

The bed was a bit hard for our liking and the duvet cover was quite thin, however the heating was very efficient so we were warm enough. The TV is quite small but as we don't watch a lot of TV, especially when there is so much to see & do outside it really wasn't an issue for us.
