Elgin Villa

Very friendly and informative host, good breakfast, spotlessly clean room. Great location, 5 mins from the Royal Crescent and an easy walk to the centre.

Noting springs to mind, all good.

It was very comfortable and the owners were really friendly. Breakfast was beautifully presented and good. Elgin Villa is a beautiful house in the middle of Victoria Park. This is a great location as you can walk in to the centre of Bath easily or catch a bus. You are very close to the Royal Crescent. My room was spacious with nice views over the garden and over the centre of Bath and surrounding hills. I was given a very generous supply of tea and milk plus my own jar of decaff coffee for my stay.

The curtains were pale and so I woke up very early every morning. I was also woken by the seagulls! The hotel itself is very quiet but I am not used to hearing gulls.

Owners very helpful & so accommodating. Our room was huge ,light & airy & the beds were very comfortable. Great shower & facilities . Breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast was delicious plus pastries & grapes. Great cups of tea!.

Location was excellent , walking distance to all the sights . The host and hostess were lovely, breakfast was nice

No internet - the only place we stayed that had no internet which makes it difficult when you are travelling from overseas A bar fridge would have been nice in the room as we stayed during a heatwave and we would have liked to have some cold drinks on hand

Welcoming, hospitable hosts, clean bedrooms, quiet street, private parking, good location for us. Good coffee for breakfast.

It felt like staying at a relative’s house! The room was incredibly cozy, clean, and spacious. Even though we were there during some very hot days, the hosts provided a fan that worked perfectly. The bed was comfortable, and we slept well throughout our stay. Breakfast was simple but delicious, and the hosts were absolutely lovely and always available if we needed anything.

We stayed on the top floor (2nd floor), which meant quite a few stairs. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it’s worth noting for those with mobility challenges. We definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!
