Clear and concise instructions to find the property, including a video from the main road to help find it. Very clean, with a welcome pack of water/bread. Just great overall

Couple of tiles round the pool need replacing - hurt toe walking on them one day

The location was excellent, really close to the town of Pernera, the main street was 200m from the villa and here there were enough restaurants and pubs for you to be able to eat at a different venue every night of the week, the pool and the shade were welcome reliefs in the 40+degrees C, the bed we used was very comfortable and having air conditioning was a necessity. The TV had plenty of channels and we were able to watch our favourite programmes after we returned from dinner. The speedy response of the ladies in the Management Office, every complaint was dealt with promptly, even if the outcome wasn't always so good!

The villa is looking very tired, the pool side furniture is all stained, with a couple of cigarette burns and all the paint peeling off one chair, which tended to end up in the bottom of the pool every morning, the steps into the pool catch you unawares as the final step is twice as high as all the others resulting in quite a drop into the pool. The BBQ was very dirty and as such it did not look like something I would cook on, the parasol looked like it was just dumped there as a convenience, it didn't look safe, so didn't use it. The edge of the pool had a white marble grating which was badly damaged, the response was to glue the broken bits with a epoxy resin which went brown, Inside faired a little better, once the air conditioning had been fixed, when we arrived and put on the AC, the room stank of cats pee, it turned out to be coming from the AC, an engineer was sent to rectify the smell and the next day a specialist turned up and deep cleaned the system, including an antibacterial treatment as the smell was caused by mould, we found the inside of the microwave badly rusted so we asked for it to be changed, the replacement came with an incorrect plate that didn't turn, so again we didn't use, we didn't complain about this as we had decided we weren't going to use it. The TV sofa was quite uncomfortable and moved and left gaps which you could slip into, the blinds in the main dining area were not correctly fitted and were dragging on the floor. Beware, there are no blinds on the stair windows and you might find yourself being a little exposed on your first night.
