Century House

Century Cottage is an idyllic three-bedroom retreat in the Cotswolds. It is charming, well-appointed and only steps away from High Street in beautiful Moreton-in-Marsh. We felt like we were in "Rosehill Cottage" from Nancy Meyers’ wonderful movie, “The Holiday” and that Jude Law would show up at any moment. We look forward to returning to this fabulous home.

Property is maintained very well.

We liked everything. Really cosy place for bigger group. Most comfortable for 6. We had extrabed as well, but there is not too much room in bedrooms for them. For 8 people I rather don't suggest, 7 was ok. The location is super good, pubs, shops all in short walking distance. Parking on street, usually there is enough free space. Easy acess anytime, and the host is really nice and had welcome basket for us, even dining table ready for serving :). The kitchen is well equipped and bathroom on first floor super big with separate shower and bath. Ground floor separate toilet and second floor en-suite bathroom as well. Everithing very clean, beds very comfy and living room fireplace added extra warm in late evening.

We liked all.

The host left us a welcome basket full of goodies which was lovely and most appreciated. The furniture and bedding were comfortable as were the pillows. There is a toilet conveniently located on the ground floor which was very nice. Games were available in the house for us to use. An added bonus was that the weather was warm enough for us to sit outside in the private courtyard. Location was fabulous and quiet!

My tall travel companion did find a few of the low lying beams a bit tricky to avoid but that is what is expected in a house of this age. The heat was also a bit difficult to control. It seemed to still be on when we thought it was off.
