My stay at Baymont by Wyndham Dallas/Love Field was, without exaggeration, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The first room I was assigned had a strong mold smell as soon as I walked in. It was immediately noticeable and extremely unpleasant. The room was also missing the armchair and coffee maker that were clearly advertised as included at the time of booking. The curtain had broken rings and did not close properly. Some lamps were missing light bulbs. The shower drain was clogged, causing water to accumulate while showering. The sofa in the room was absolutely disgusting and looked like it had not been properly cleaned in a very long time. The TV stand, where the mini-fridge is built in, had visibly rotting wood. The headboard upholstery had a suspicious, dried stain that looked like something had dripped down and never been properly cleaned. Overall, the room felt neglected, poorly maintained, and unsanitary. When I asked about the missing coffee maker, I was told they were only providing them upon request. However, even after I specifically requested one, it was never delivered. Because of all these issues, I requested to change rooms. Unfortunately, the second room was not much better. It was also missing the armchair and coffee maker. Even worse, I found a very suspicious stain on the bedsheet that looked like dried bodily fluid. It was extremely disturbing and unacceptable. I had to go to the front desk to request a clean sheet and was told there was no staff available at night to change it, so I had to replace the sheet myself. To make matters worse, I saw roaches in the breakfast area. Seeing cockroaches where food is being served is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about hygiene and health standards. The breakfast itself was very mediocre and did not make up for the overall poor experience. Finally, the manager/front desk employee Ruby was extremely rude and dismissive when I reported these issues. She treated me with clear disrespect and indifference. She stated that they "did not care" because my reservation had been made through a third-party booking platform and told me to complain to the third party instead. That response is unacceptable. Regardless of how a reservation is made, the hotel is still responsible for the condition of its rooms and customer service. I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to reconsider. This property is poorly maintained, unsanitary, and lacks basic professionalism in customer service.
