"Quick solo stay"

I stayed at this quaint bed and breakfast while on a quick overnight trip for a conference. I booked the night before and sent a text to the number on the website. The owner responded immediately and was so nice. I stayed in the artist loft on the top floor. It was a gorgeous room full of light. I don't a dreamy evening there reading and listening to the rain. I was able to walk to my favorite restaurant and wine store. The inn has snacks and is just so clean and well kept. The owners are so friendly. There is breakfast every morning, always tea and coffee and snacks like apple cinnamon muffins (homemade!) available. There are quite a few stairs to get to the top floor. If you have mobility issues definitely reach out to the owners and they will recommend the best room. Also, there is protected parking. Love this place! When I return I will stay. Thank you for having me!

"downtown brownstone"

the main property -- the lobby -- is stunningly beautiful and a welcoming place to relax. parking is a block away in a gated lot. our rooms were in the annex, which are apartments nestled in with residents

the continental breakfast was a huge miss. low quality breads, instant oatmeal, saran-wrapped muffins worthy of a gas station. the bed was sagging on one side. check in could've been more welcoming -- staff is there until 5pm. I don't see evidence of AC, which wasn't an issue for us but could be in the summer

Everything about the Morgan State House Inn is just perfect! The location. The accommodations. The hosts.

There is nothing I didn’t love but I will caution those with limited mobility- it’s all stairs. If you suffer any type of mobility issues, unfortunately I don’t think this is the place for you.

This is a special place. A beautiful historic brown stone over looking the park . It full of historic references. everyone made you feel very welcome
