The Bungalows - Absolute Beachfront

Ir is really a very nice and remote property literally on the beach. The bungalow is rather spacious, nicely decorated, comfy and really private.

A bit of a disappointment was that the pool was way too cold for this time of the year. Hot water supply is not constant and the bathroom did not have a great ventilation (condensation).

Clean, beautiful location right on the beach! Lovely bungalows. Would highly recommend.

Can’t fault it, I wish I had stayed longer

We stayed in bungalow 1 in August. It is located right on the on the most beautiful beach where we could walk out at any time. Very private front yard with a glorious plunge pool. The bungalows 1 is located next to an estuary which was a georgois view. Apparently a crocodile may live there but we never saw it. Driving around the area we had two separate sightings os Cassuwaries with their babies.... just glorious! Ate dinner at The Garage and had the yummiest mushroom pizza ever! Woke up to a beautiful ocean view through the large glass doors in the morning to heavy rain but beautiful to sit and watch it from the large balcony deck under verandah and ate complimentary toast, muesli and coffee. Left to get our voucher provided for free coffees and cocktails at the Elmandra resort. Geougous. The bungalow was just perfect. Mission beach proper was also georgous with the famous palm trees and board walk. Cannot wait to return and stay longer as one night was not enough!

I would probably return next year in October (not August) when the weather is warmer.

This place is a gem! Perhaps our favorite of 6 places along the Queensland coast. Super-quiet, very modern, like a cabin in the woods, on the beach! Steps from a gorgeous long stretch of beach (no one on it in late July), nice plunge pool, good amenities, although not a full kitchen. (Who knew you could microwave salmon?) There is a cart for luggage, 2 minutes’ walk to the property. So private yet 5 minutes from restaurants. We will be thinking of it months from now.
