Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks Inn

Easy booking, great location, excellent customer service, comfy bed

The location was good with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. A little close to the freeway, but not bad.

The housekeeping was not awful. When I woke up after the first night, the bottom sheet was shredded. I assume this was an old sheet. I left the comforter and top sheet off of the bed to show housekeeping that it needed to be replaced. I also talked with the front desk and let them know. The sheet was not replaced when I returned to the room! Pretty obvious that it was damaged. The hotel sent me a new set for me to put on. I left the old sheet off to the corner of the room and housekeeping didn't remove it! In addition, they didn't replace an empty box of tissues, remove used cups and coffee items, or refill shower products. Just didn't pay attention to their work.

Good location but right on freeway and parking lot has noise all hours. Lots of trucks

First floor by rear door loud all night. Carpet torn up in room. Breakfast is basically coffee.

We would rate this particular BW as a 2 star only. We stayed there a few times, and every time the area in and around the elevator was very dirty. We even mentioned there was a dead bug in the elevator. Next time we went in, the bug was still there, even though we told the front desk. Towels in the room are paper thin. But the room itself was very quiet, except for the A/C which woke us up when it went on at 3:00 am. The biggest change from a previous stay, was the change in the "free " breakfast. The "free" portion is very, very basic. You can however, purchase a full breakfast and get $11.00 deducted, which supposedly is the value of the " free" breakfast. The location works well for us, that's why we've stayed there a few times. But will reconsider it in the future. There are other hotels nearby that we'll check out.
